How to access the Narravero Reader App

Let’s explore how to use the Narravero Reader, your direct gateway to Digital Product Passports (DPPs) via NFC. 📲

Using the Narravero Reader

Whether you're a customer, inspector, or partner, the Narravero Reader lets you instantly access a product’s Digital Product Passport, no login or app store needed (unless you want the full version).

Option 1: Web Reader (Android)

Just hold your smartphone near the product’s NFC tag. If no app is installed, your phone will prompt you to open the tag in your browser

  1. Tap the browser notification
  2. The DPP will open in a temporary mobile-friendly interface
  3. You get the same info, instantly, no install, no login!
Note Android phones support this via built-in NFC readers. Just make sure NFC is turned on!

Option 2: Android Reader

Download the Reader App from Google Play Store:

Once installed:

  1. Open the app
  2. No account or login required
  3. Ready to scan right away! Access a DPP via:
    1. QR code scan
    2. NFC tag scan

Option 3: iOS Reader

How it works:

  • Scanning a Digital Product Passport on iOS opens the content via an App Clip if the full Reader App is not installed.
  • The App Clip provides access to the complete Digital Product Passport (DPP).

Recommended for a better user experience, download the Reader App from the App Store.

Once installed:

  1. Open the app
  2. No account or login required
  3. Ready to scan right away! Access a DPP via:
    1. QR code scan
    2. NFC tag scan

3. View the Digital Product Passport

Whether you use the full app or the web reader, you can:

  • View product data, materials, certifications, origin info, and more
  • Navigate easily through tabs or sections
  • See multimedia (photos, PDFs, videos) embedded in the DPP
