General, technical and Narravero-specific terms explained.
This glossary provides an overview of key terms used within the Narravero platform and its modules. It is divided into three sections: General Terms, Technical & Functional Terms, and Narravero-Specific Terms.
🧭 General Terms
Narravero Content Studio (Also known as Narravero Platform or Narravero Management Tool): The central workspace providing access to all features such as DPP Publisher, Tracer, reports, design customization, and integrations. It forms the digital ecosystem for managing product information and related processes.
DPP (Digital Product Passport): A digital representation of a physical product containing structured information about origin, materials, sustainability, repair instructions, certifications, and more.
DPP Publisher: A core module in Narravero used to design, structure, and publish Digital Product Passports. It allows customization of layouts, content, and styles to match corporate branding.
Tracer: A module for capturing, managing, and updating product-related data. Each Tracer represents a task or process step linked to a product (Tridy).
Tridy: The unique, traceable digital identity of a physical product. Each Tridy has its own ID and stores all related data.
Tracer Template: A blueprint defining which data and input fields (elements) are collected in a specific process step. It sets the structure, validation rules, and key logic for a Tracer.
Tracer Group: A collection of Tracer Templates grouped by topic or process. It helps structure and organize complex process chains.
⚙️ Technical & Functional Terms
Bearer Token: Part of the authentication process included in an HTTP header. It follows the format: Authorization: Bearer
Payload Mapping: The process of linking keys between systems or datasets to enable structured data exchange.
Key: A unique identifier assigned to a data element. It enables consistent referencing across the system and allows data to appear in reports or DPPs.
Payload Key: A key stored in a Tridy that uniquely references data. Payload Keys enable data retrieval across modules (e.g., Reports, DPPs).
Identifier Key (Identifier): A special key that checks if a product already exists when creating a Tridy. It prevents duplicates and ensures unique product identification (e.g., production number).
Validation Rule: A rule that checks the format or structure of input in Tracer Templates (e.g., date format, numeric range).
Widget: A building block within the DPP Publisher that displays content such as text, images, videos, or maps. Widgets can be customized and combined freely.
Title Key: One or more keys used to identify and process Tridys automatically within workflows.
Payload: The complete set of data (keys and values) stored within a Tridy.
JSON (JavaScript Object Notation): A structured, text-based data format used for transferring information between systems.
ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning): Software used to manage and plan company resources such as production, finance, inventory, and personnel.
PIM (Product Information Management): A system for centrally managing product information (e.g., images, descriptions, attributes, pricing).
MES (Manufacturing Execution System): A comprehensive software system that monitors, controls, documents, and optimizes manufacturing processes in real time.
API (Application Programming Interface): An interface that allows different software systems to communicate with each other.
REST (Representational State Transfer): An API architecture style that uses standard HTTP methods to manage resources.
Endpoint: The specific URL of an API call (e.g., /products or /orders/123).
Resource: An object or data entity accessed via an API (e.g., product, customer, order).
Header: Additional information included in an HTTP request or response (e.g., authentication, content type).
Webhook: A mechanism that automatically sends data from one system to another when a defined event occurs.
Batch Update: The process of updating multiple data records at once.
☁️ Narravero-Specific Terms
Narravero DPP Publisher: The main tool for designing digital product passports — flexible, brand-compliant, and dynamically adaptable.
Narravero Tracer System: The data collection system that tracks information throughout the product lifecycle. It connects physical products to their digital counterparts (Tridys).
Narravero Cloud: The backend infrastructure of the Narravero ecosystem.
Narravero Reader: The tool used at the Point of Sale (PoS) to display a DPP after scanning a Tridy.
