Widget Overview and Configuration

Every DPP Publisher widget and its configuration options explained.

The DPP Publisher by Narravero offers a wide range of design elements to create digital product passports (DPPs) that are both visually appealing and highly functional. Each element can be customized and combined to present information optimally.

Available Elements

The DPP Publisher includes the following elements:

  • Splash Video – for an attention-grabbing introduction
  • Billboard Video – to prominently showcase product content
  • Text – for structured presentation of information
  • Image – to visually support content
  • Image Gallery – for displaying multiple images in a single view
  • Video – to include additional motion content
  • Spacer – for precise layout structuring
  • Buttons – for interactions and linking
  • Map – to display geographic information or locations
  • Social Media – to integrate social media channels
  • Countdown – for highlighting limited-time offers or events

With this variety of elements, the DPP Publisher allows flexible, brand-aligned design of digital product passports.

Widget Settings Overview

Splash Video Widget

General Settings:

  • Name: Assign a unique name for easy identification in the widget overview
  • Video: Upload the video displayed when the DPP is opened.
  • Copyright: Enter copyright or source information.

Control Options (Boolean):

  • “Show More” Indicator – displays a marker for additional content
  • Autoplay – plays the video automatically on load
  • Loop – repeats the video automatically
  • Muted – starts the video without sound
  • Video Controls – toggle standard controls (play, pause, volume)

Visibility: Define conditions under which the widget is displayed

💡  Tip: We recommend for square videos using a Quad HD resolution (1440 × 1440)

Billboard Video Widget

General Settings:

  • Name: Assign a unique name for easy identification in the widget overview
  • Subtitle: Displayed below the title and above the Video
  • Video: Upload the video displayed when the DPP is opened
  • Copyright: Enter copyright or source information.

Control Options (Boolean):

  • Autoplay
  • Loop
  • Muted
  • Video Controls

Visibility: Define when the widget is displayed

💡  Tip: For the best upload quality, use video files in  .mp4  or  .mov  format.
💡  T ip: Videos are  not automatically compressed  in Narravero. Make sure your videos are  optimized or compressed for web use  before uploading. Ensure that the  format and resolution  match the requirements of popular social media platforms.
Uploads 
larger than 25 MB  are not supported. For the best  performance and faster loading times , we recommend keeping videos  under 10 MB .
💡   Tip: We recommend for square videos using a Quad HD resolution (1440 × 1440)

Billboard Image Widget

General Settings:

  • Name: Assign a unique name for easy identification in the widget overview
  • Image: Upload an image (URL automatically assigned)

Optional:

  • Link – redirect users when clicked
  • Alt Text – description for accessibility or internal reference
  • Fallback URL – alternative image if the original is unavailable

Visibility: Define display conditions

💡  Tip: Images  over 2 MB  are  automatically compressed  during upload to maintain smooth performance in the DPP.
Images 
exceeding 20 MB   cannot be uploaded , as they surpass the maximum file size limit.
💡  Tip: Use the  screen resolution of modern smartphones  as a reference when preparing your images. For optimal quality on current devices, a resolution of around  2868 × 1320 pixels  is recommended, this matches the display size of recent  iPhone models .

Text Widget

General Settings:

  • Name: Assign a unique name for easy identification in the widget overview
  • Title: Displayed above the text
  • Subtitle: Displayed below the title and above the text

Text Settings:

  • Text Input: Format text (bold, italics, lists, etc.) and insert dynamic payload keys
  • Text Alignment: Align left, center, or right

Image Settings:

  • Add Image
  • Image Position: Left or right

Image Widget

  • Image: Upload an image (URL automatically assigned)

  • Images: Choose between static uploads or dynamic links
  • Layout: Choose slider or grid layout (2, 3, or 4 images, horizontal/vertical)

Optional:

  • Title: Displayed above the Image Gallery
  • Subtitle: Displayed below the title and above the Image Gallery

Video Widget

General Settings:

  • Video: Upload the video that will be shown in the DPP
  • Copyright: Enter copyright or source information.

  • Title: Displayed above the Video

  • Buttons: Add multiple buttons
  • Title: Label displayed on each button
  • Link: URL assigned to each button
  • Style: Customize for light and dark modes (background, border, text, corner radius, border width)
  • Default Style: Apply a standard style for both modes

Map Widget

General Settings:

  • Name: Assign a unique name for easy identification in the widget overview
  • Title: Displayed above the map
  • Subtitle: Displayed below the title and above the map
  • Layout: Single map or horizontal
  • Style: Satellite or street view
  • Locations: Add via selection, coordinates, or dynamic payload keys

Social Media Widget

General Settings:

  • Title: Displayed above the Image
  • Image: Upload an image (URL automatically assigned)
  • Social Media Links: Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Snapchat, TikTok, Twitter/X, YouTube

General Settings:

  • Name: Assign a unique name for easy identification in the widget overview
  • End Message: Displayed when countdown reaches zero
  • Alignment: Left, center, or right
  • Colors: Background and text color
  • Target Date & Time: Select the target date and time for the countdown

This structure ensures that users can quickly understand which elements are available in the DPP Publisher and how to configure each widget effectively.

Visibility

The Visibility setting allows users to control when widgets are displayed. Conditions can be added using the “Add condition” option. Users may define one or multiple comparisons and choose whether all conditions must be met (AND) or at least one condition must be met (OR).

Each comparison evaluates a key using an operator against a defined value.
